In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of BMO’s Equity Through Education, we are proud to highlight one of the founding partners of the program: Financial Women’s Association (FWA).
The Equity Through Education program has benefited many bright young women from Baruch College, who are now BMO employees. “Many of these young women are the first-time college attendees in their families,” says Marietta Bottero, Financial Leadership Program Manager at Baruch College. “They have become the next generation of leaders.”
Equity Through Education aims to help bright and deserving students achieve their educational ambitions. We donate institutional equity, BMO InvestorLine equity and ETF trading commissions from one day of trading to select charitable organizations in support of post-secondary education. Since inception, over C$33 million has been raised, helping close to 5,500 students achieve their potential through scholarships, bursaries and career development.
ETE is an essential part of BMO’s Purpose to Boldly Grow the Good in business and life, and our commitment to building a future with Zero Barriers to Inclusion. Find out more about the ETE scholarship program, learn what Alan Tannenbaum, CEO, BMO Capital Markets has to say about the importance of this initiative, and meet Our 2024 Imperial Scholar: Sandra Alarcón Escobar.
