Jacques Ménard influenced the lives of many young professionals during his 40-year career in capital markets and as President, BMO Financial Group, Quebec. His legacy and passion for educating young people will live on with a BMO donation to Concordia University, announced today by Darryl White, CEO BMO Financial Group.

In his honour, The L. Jacques Ménard–BMO Centre for Capital Markets will be established, building on the programs at the John Molson School of Business. The Centre for Capital Markets will be a place of innovation in education, a research environment for understanding the trends and changes in the capital markets and a location to propel top talent and prepare students for a career in the finance industry.

Reflecting Jacques’ interest and support for the Arts, Concordia is also launching BMO’s Fine Arts Internships, providing Fine Arts students at Concordia annual opportunities in the arts community.

Both initiatives will accelerate learning processes and provide real-life access to professionals in students’ respective fields of study.

We look forward to the future generations of graduates that will reflect Jacques’ dedication to higher learning and opportunities for young people.
