Benjamin Reitzes

Benjamin has been with the Bank of Montreal for over a decade. He is responsible for the Canadian macro-economic forecast, and plays a key role in forecasting interest rates and currencies. From his seat on the trading desk, Benjamin provides dedicated research support to the Canadian Fixed Income business. Over the past four years, he has built the market profile of the Canadian Rates Strategy effort, which has gained significant traction globally. The CRV Weekly has become BMO’s flagship Canadian Strategy publication, providing clients with market commentary and actionable trade ideas. In addition, he contributes to the Economics Department’s global economic forecasts and its various publications; such as, AM Notes, Focus and econoFacts. Benjamin is a regular commentator on economic and financial trends to the media.
Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and a Masters degree in Economics from Carleton University.
